Full Details:

Niacinamide: 5% Niacinamide also called nicotinamide, is a form of vitamin B-3, an essential nutrient. A B-3 deficiency can lead to disorders of the skin. It is a potent anti-inflammatory agent and will help calm, reduce redness and the appearance of eczema, acne and other inflammatory disorders of the skin. It can also help regulate pore size, oil production and over time lead to smother more moisturised skin.

Niacinamide can also help to build keratin which helps keep skin firm and healthy, it can also help your skin grow a lipid or ceramide layer which then helps to stop trans epidermal water loss and increases hydration. Research has also indicated that 5% Niacinamide, the same concentration as in Niacinamist can help with hyperpigmentation after 4 weeks of continued use, this is thought to be related to increased collagen production.

Beta Glucan: 2%

Beta glucan is a great ingredient for improving the appearance of redness and sensitive skin. It is derived from the endosperm of wheat kernels and has also been indicated in the production of collagen in the skin. It is a powerful hydrator too which has been linked to the very similar structure of hyaluronic acid. Beta-glucan is a powerful humectant, which means it not only provides intense hydration for the skin but It also helps to prevent moisture loss. It hydrates skin from the inside, out.

Vitamin B5: 3%

Vitamin B5 also known as Pantothenic acid, s a water-soluble vitamin from the B group of vitamins. Vitamin B5 can help replenish nutrients to the skin, help leaves skin feel softer and smother as well as helping with tissue repair. It can also help with wound healing especially if used in combination with Vitamin C 10 or Vitamin C 20.

Hyaluronic Acid: 3%

Hyaluronic acid or HA, is a carbohydrate, more specifically a mucopolysaccharide occurring naturally throughout the body. When not bound to other molecules, it binds to water.

It's consistency makes it beneficial in skin-care products as an excellent moisturising and hydrating product. HA is known as a humectant meaning it can draw water from its surroundings and blood vessels and has an extreme hydrating effect on the skin.

Although Hyaluronic Acid (HA) can be found naturally in most every cell in the body, it is found in the greatest concentrations in the skin tissue. Almost 50% of the body’s HA is found here. It is found in both the deep underlying dermal areas as well as the visible epidermal top layers. Young skin is smooth and elastic and contains large amounts of HA that helps keep the skin stay young and healthy. The HA provides continuous moisture to the skin by binding up to 1000 times its weight in water. With age, the ability of the skin to produce HA decreases. Hyaluronic acid’s moisture-binding characteristic is exceptionally important when it comes to skin ageing. When young, skin can hold onto water and retain a balanced amount of moisture, but it loses this ability with ageing. The result is a visible loss of firmness, pliability, and a diminished appearance of plumpness and suppleness - HA has powerful anti-aging properties.
